Our Story

August 2006 - the first time we met in Switzerland

Girl* goes to Europe after graduation.

Girl meets up with friend there.

Friend introduces girl to Boy**

Girl is very impressed by Boy but realizes that nothing would happen so decides to be his friend.

Boy is oblivious.

Years pass (4 to be exact).  Boy and Girl do various things but somehow always keep in contact.

Boy and Girl are good friends.

Boy visits Girl in Washington DC.

August 2010 - 4 years later in Washington DC

Boy asks girl to date him.  Girl says yes.

Boy goes to England to go to university.  Girl finds internship in England.

Boy and Girl are together.

Boy and Girl FINALLY figure it out.

And they are happy.

 *Girl = Texan through and through with a gypsy heart.  While growing up in Houston, Texas, Girl fell in love with all things living.  She studied Zoology at BYU where she made a special place in her heart for elephants, mountains, trees, ants, black bears, goshawks, owls, and bats (among other things). Girl took time out (18 months to be exact) to serve a LDS mission in Vladivostok, Russia.   Girl is currently certified to teach elementary education but still dreams about those elephants, owls and bats.


**Boy = An intelligent guy who studies chiropractic by day and plays squash, mountain biking and runs by night and really whenever he's not doing chiropractic.  Born and bred in Switzerland, Boy served in the military and also served a LDS mission in Vladivostok, Russia (with a land mass larger than the mainland United States it should be no surprise that while they were there at the same time, they never met!).  Kind, thoughtful and charismatic, Girl didn't have a chance.
